Finally Home

We are finally home from our trip to Idaho. We had been up at my family's house since Tuesday. Went up there for Thanksgiving. I really miss Idaho. It is so much more calm than Utah. The trip back always seems to take forever. And by the time we are back, my back and my backside are killing me. Each trip seems like medical travel. I should keep the chiropractor on speed dial each time we decide to go on a long trip like that.

Free Software Recommendation Of The Day

Taking a little different turn here with my blog. As it has been so far, my blog has not been that popular. I think I only have a few fans. Well, I've been trying to think of ways to get it more popular. One way I'm doing that is by recommending software that everyone can use. This software is totally free and virus free and should have applications for everyone.

The initial recommendation is the YouTube Downloader. With this free software, you can download your favorite YouTube video to your computer. Then, if you want to share that video, you can use the same software to convert the file format to any major format. You can convert the file to iPhone, iPod, PSP, cell phone, AVI, MP3, WMV, and Xvid formats. It's a simple interface that anyone can use. Check out this great software.

The idea here is to get free tools out there for everyone to help make their lives a little easier or more pleasant without breaking their wallet.

Vacation Memories

About 3 years ago the company I used to work for took all the employees and their spouses on an all inclusive vacation to Cancun. It was great. We got to lay around doing nothing for a week. And it was nice that it was all paid for by the company, we only brought $100 to use for tips, souvenirs, and a trip to Chichen Itza. The resort on the beach was amazing. We were given 3 meals a day (1 of which could be room service) plus we could get free snacks and drinks by the pool any time during the day and drinks at the lobby bar (though we always had to be careful to specify we didn't want any alcohol!). I'm sure the wife and I gained 10lbs that week haha. And it was also great that we got to leave freezing cold winter for the heat and humidity down there. I would really love to go their again sometime, it was a great vacation for us, like a second honeymoon.

Needs better parts

I would really love to get new computers in our house. Both our desktop and laptop have issues. The desktop isn't as bad now, since we reformatted the hard drives for both computers, but unfortunately it didn't completely help the laptop. I'm pretty sure there is something wrong with the wireless card. Often we have to reload a page in any browser multiple times before it works. We've had problems with the wireless card before that the company "fixed", but the fix didn't last long. A laptop should be able to last more than a few years.
