I think the other part of the cartoon caption that is not present is that part that you shouldn't be worrying about the average idea. When you have an idea and you feel it is a good one, you should make it the best idea possible and you shouldn't worry what the average idea is. Who's to say that the average idea was good anyway? If you have and idea and you feel it is a really good one, go with it. Don't be put down by the average person. Follow what you want, not what others think they want for you.
