Let's Get It Started

Well, like the title says, let's get the meat of this blog going. This is an opinion-based blog after all. I think I'll leave the really touchy things alone for a little while, at least until something really ticks me off, and start the opinions with a movie preview. First up, Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix. I'm not an avid Harry Potter fan to tell you the truth. I've never even made it through any of the books. Too many pages to read when there is so much work to be done around the house. Suffice it to say, I want to watch the movies first before I read the books. Anyway, the movies was truly amazing. I thought it was very well done. It really appealed to those who haven't read the books at all and have no idea what all the background plots are. I could actually follow this movie from start to finish. And when I didn't understand something, within a few minutes it was explained to everyone. So, again, if you didn't know the story, you could at least enjoy a good movie. The last movie was way too hard to follow along with, especially if you hadn't read the book. It jumped around all over the place and left me really confused. This movie was more like the first three in that you didn't need to do research before going and seeing the movie. I would highly recommend this movie. It truly was worth the money. The only thing I would change would be the way Dumbledoor is portrayed. I like the previous actor so much better and it was sad that he died because he did a great job. The new Dumbledoor looks too much like a bum and less like a very wise wizard. And I really wish they would take that tie out of his beard. The previous Dumbledoor looked great with out it. I don't know why they feel the new one needs to squeeze in his beard in the middle.

Anyway, that's my first opinionated blog post. Very mild, but hey, I liked the movie therefore I gave my honest opinion about it. Of course, I would have still give my honest opinion about it if the movie stunk, but the post might have been a bit too long.

It's A Start

There, that's better. It's at least a start and it's my favorite color. I can probably spruce it up a bit more. I might need to ask my wife for that one. You would think that since I am a software engineer and all that I would be able to do that kind of thing. Well, any employer will tell you that experience will always help you. I'll listen to the experience thing on this one.

Hang On

Okay, everyone, hang on to your butts. I have never really had a blog before. I haven't even had much of a journal before. I kept one for about half a year on my mission, but that was it. Anyway, I am going to attempt to spruce this blog up a bit and keep it steadily updated. Hang on, it may be a bumpy ride.

First Personal Post Ever

Hello All,

This is actually the first post I have ever done on a blog of my own. Thanks to my wife for setting it up and getting it going. Thanks a ton, honey. Even though I am a software engineer and this is the kind of stuff I do, my wife has so much more experience than I do. I am hoping to get some links over to here so that my blog may be as popular as my wife's. And the design is a work in progress. The blog here is mostly going to be centered around what is going on in my life as well and what is going on in the world. It will be strongly opinion-based. My opinion may not be the same as others, but that is just fine with me. If everyone's opinion were to be the same, the world would be boring and elections would be too easy. Stay tuned for what is coming in the future. It will be great.

Ta-da!

I never realized it was so hard to set up a blog under my own domain! But it took all day practically! At last here it is, in all it's glory. Well, not too glorious yet, but once we get it spruced up a bit it will be awesome! I promise!

Testing 1, 2, 3...

Just seeing how this is going :)
